Biographical Summary

I have been singing Baritone with the New Dimension Chorus for 2.5 years and sang with the SBlendid Tonics Quartet for over a year.
My wife, Colleen, has put up with me for over 20 years and we have been blessed with two wonderful daughters, Kathleen (15) and Meghan (13). Both girls are also singing with choirs.
In addition to ringing chords, I like to play golf, basketball, and bang on the guitar and banjo. I also enjoy classic movies, classic rock-n-roll music, as well as Frank Sinatra style and big band music. Vacationing with family and friends is my favorite thing to do.
I work at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (9 years now). Prior to that I worked at Lockheed-Martin for 12 years and was in the Air Force for 5 years. I also served in the Navy Reserves for 6 years.
My dad, Jerry, is a barbershopper. His wife, Valerie, is a Sweet Adeline, as are her daughter, Jana, and grand-daughter, Heather, and grandson, Chase. So as a newcomer to the art, I'm trying to hold up my end.
The New Dimension Chorus is a great bunch of gentlemen, of which I'm proud to be a part, and with whom I enjoy "making the rafters ring!"

  • No Chorus rehearsalThink you can't sing? Think some people can sing, some can't, and that's it? Nandhu Radhakrishnan, an assistant professor at the University of Missouri, Columbia disagrees with you. According to his research, those who can't sing are those who don't. By simply singing, you can be turned from "I can't sing," to "I can sing." Every Thursday evening, the New Dimension Chorus, presents "Sing in Barbershop-Style," an on-going class to turn those who don't sing into those who can sing. The lessons continue to improve vocal production and ear training for all members. The class begins at 7:00 pm; be sure to arrive early to meet regular chorus members and obtain a welcome packet. 25 November, 2010 7:00pm
